Um ... What?

This past week in a Pakistan courtroom, one of the four Pakistanis who kidnapped, tortured, and killed journalist Daniel Pearl has been sentenced to death. The other three have been sentenced to life in prison. In a separate case, also in a Pakistan courtroom, a Pakistani was sentenced to death for blasphemy.

I don't care about whether or not the death penalty is right or wrong, or whether blasphemy is a crime or not. But when kidnapping/torturing/murdering is not as bad a crime as saying something, there's a problem.
