Christmas Music

| | Comments (0)
I dig music. I dig Christmas. So once a year, I pull out the Christmas tunes for a few weeks.

My perennial favorite is The Ventures' Christmas Album. I've listened to this since I was a kid. Great holiday surf rock, straight up.

I'm also a fan of the Russ Taff Christmas album. It's kinda cheesy in some places, but the music is nice-n-jazzy, and the man's got some pipes.

I used to have more Christmas music ... but most of it kinda stinks. I need to get more. We've got the prerequisite Windham Hill collections, plus Stryper's classic, Reason for the Season. Next year, maybe a bit more in between those ...

Right now I am listening to How the Grinch Stole Christmas. They sell the entire 20+ minute TV special on audio CD. use.perl.org

"It is the common fate of the indolent to see their rights become a prey to the active. The condition upon which God hath given liberty to man is eternal vigilance; which condition if he break, servitude is at once the consequence of his crime and the punishment of his guilt."
