You're Still Clueless

| | Comments (0)
I forgot the final verse in You're Clueless! Because, baby, I am clueless, too. It goes like this:

Are you different from the rest of us?
Do you always get straight A's?
Do you always signal your lane change?
Did you find a cure for AIDS?
I don't think so, just admit it, baby

You're Clueless

You're Clueless is a song I wrote about 10 years ago. I performed it back then (with my band, Whirlygig) at the grand opening of the campus coffee house at Biola University, the alma mater of me and John Thune, the guy who just beat Tom Daschle for the Senate in South Dakota.

Speaking of politics: the recent election season and its aftermath, and all the people calling everyone ignorant ... it reminded me of this song. So I dusted it off and recorded it with GarageBand.

Enjoy!

You're Clueless

You're no different from the rest of us
You've got your great big plans
And baby, just like the rest of us
You really just don't understand
No no no no no no no no

Chorus
You're clueless, you're clueless
You don't know anything
You're clueless, you're clueless
You can't fly, you ain't got wings
You're clueless, you're clueless
I'll say it 'till my face turns blue
You're clueless, you're clueless
Get help before it all falls through

Don't look to me for the answers
'Coz baby, I am clueless too
I'm just as vacuous as the next guy
But I'm not as bad as you
I'm just kidding, baby, please, oh no, but

Chorus

You can say how smart you are
Show me your diplomas
But until you see beyond the stars
Your brain is in a coma

Chorus

I ain't got no clue
Neither do you

Chorus
