Re: Homeschool Winner
I saw the Daily Show episode last night wherein the author of a story on Patrick Henry College said some fairly silly things about homeschooling, betraying her ignorance and bias. In the article, she says:
I will concede that much of politics is like high school, but only in all the bad ways ...
Homeschoolers are not the most obvious raw material for a college whose main mission, since its founding, five years ago, has been to train a new generation of Christian politicians. Politics, after all, is the most social of professions, and many students arrive at Patrick Henry having never shared a classroom with anyone other than their siblings. But since when are homeschoolers unused to social interaction, and since when is a classroom the best place to experience such interactions?
I will concede that much of politics is like high school, but only in all the bad ways ...
