Rick Larsen Opposes Barack Obama
The Herald reports today that a local Congressman was complaining about a lack of experience on the top ticket in the nation:
"It is a terrible pick," said U.S. Rep. Rick Larsen, D-Wash. "The first question ... to ask is, 'Can this person [serve as President].'"Oh, I'm sorry, he was talking about Sarah Palin, not Barack Obama. Huh. Never mind.
"It is the common fate of the indolent to see their rights become a prey to the active. The condition upon which God hath given liberty to man is eternal vigilance; which condition if he break, servitude is at once the consequence of his crime and the punishment of his guilt."
